Nicholas A Brooks , MBA, MS Finance Mercury Healthcare Chief Financial Officer, Travel Industry Expert

Prior to completing Masters degrees in Business Administration (Purdue University - Krannert School of Management) and Entrepreneurial Finance (University of Colorado), Nick was the Special Programs Analysis Manager at Frontier Airlines, Inc., and the Commercial Director at TUI Hungary/Vagabund Tourism. He was also Product Manager (from Dec. 2002 Deputy Director) at TUI Deutschland GmbH .
Nick understand the medical travel market and how it all comes together in a vertical value chain. He has spent considerable time in the European Union and the United Kingdom as well as the United States and has a clear understanding of these three healthcare systems, having been a participant in each for a number of years. Through his work at Mercury Healthcare, he has been able to visit several world healthcare systems and develop a keen appreciation for the political, public health and financial aspects of medical tourism program development.
Nick's duties include presenting and reporting accurate and timely historical financial information of Mercury Healthcare's Global PPO, Medical Tourism, and Advisory Group revenues. He reports to the CEO and every stakeholder in the company - including shareholders, analysts, creditors, employees and other members of management. He is also responsible for the company's present financial condition, plays an active role in decisions on how to invest the company's money, taking into consideration risk and liquidity. In addition, he oversees Mercury's capital structure, determining the best mix of debt, equity and internal financing.
As CFO he must be aware of not only the financial situation, but must have a thorough understanding of global healthcare and medical tourism to be able to identify and report what activities of Mercury are effective and how Mercury Healthcare and its Advisory Group will capitalize on this information. Nick is responsible for economic forecasting and modeling the best way to ensure Mercury Healthcare's success in the future. From time to time, he will join the Advisory Group team to assist Mercury Healthcare providers, primarily hospitals, clinics and physicians who lack the training and business skills needed to move their practice forward or to help work out liaison agreements between medical and travel providers to establish affiliate agreements between providers and vendors.
Nick speaks British and American English, and is fluent in German and Dutch. He currently resides in London and heads up the Mercury Healthcare office located there.
