Jim Grigsby CPAM, CDIA, CHCS
Revenue Cycle, management consultant, author, and speaker with over 20 years of healthcare financial management experience.

Jim has guided hospitals and clinics through systems conversions, completed dozens of successful projects in all phases of the revenue cycle, and implemented a variety of technology improvements to optimize efficiency. He has extensive revenue cycle management and project management experience. He is president of Jim Grigsby Consulting, a healthcare revenue cycle and management consulting firm; serving a variety of clients on cash generation, process improvement, and management consulting projects. He has a degree in Economics and direct healthcare financial management experience as revenue cycle director for hospitals ranging from 77 beds to a multi-hospital central billing office (CBO) in a for-profit system.  His proudest accomplishment is 16 former employees who hold management positions in healthcare.

Jim as has consulted to physician practices and helped establish a MSO; was a business process analyst and project manager for a software development company, and successfully installed document imaging and workflow technology in several hospitals. Jim’s specialization with Mercury Healthcare Advisory Group is process improvement, staff development, and cash generation throughout the revenue cycle; recommending creative solutions that fit the client’s needs and capabilities.  Jim is a Regional Director for Florida’s HFMA Chapter, past editor of the Yerger Award winning Sunspots newsletter, and a former national officer with AAHAM. In his spare time Jim enjoys physical fitness, golf, writing, and reading. He lives with his family on Florida’s Treasure Coast.
