Javier Esteras, MD

Dr. Esteras has more than fifteen years experience in the health industry.  He is a physician and former regional medical director with BUPA International in Spain (Sanitas S.A.). He was also a regional manager and Primary Healthcare Medical Director at the Institut  Catala de la Salut ICS.  His most recent position was as Corporate Marketing and Business Development Director for Grupo Hospitaliro Quiron.

In addition to his medical degree from Universidad de Cantabria, and specialty in preventive medicine, he earned a Master of Medical Documentation from Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, and an Advanced Professional Diploma in Research Methods in Health Sciences.  He completed the Kaiser Permanente Integrated Health Experience program in 2007.

A team player and leader, clients describe him as a clever, target oriented team player with a sharp analytical mind.  He takes great ideas and implements them into action.  His experience in both the payer and provider side of healthcare enable him to help hospitals, physicians and insurers to move forward with globally integrated healthcare.

Javier is also active in the biotechnology sector and is the CEO and Managing Director of Fenomebiotech, a global startup headquartered in the technological campus in Barcelona, Spain.

Javier speaks English, Spanish and Catalan and resides in Sitges, Spain with his wife and children. He is an avid photographer.
