Tereza Guedes, BSc, MSc, PhD - Innovation in Health Administration, BioScience, Technology Transfer, Government Relations, Medical Tourism Research.

Dr. Tereza Guedes  - Innovation within Health Administration. Her work in health administration innovation began with the PhD in Management of Science and Technology, researching the generation and transfer of knowledge between change agents in the Brazilian biotechnology sector. While participating at the MBA in Health Management at the University of Colorado, USA, she focused her attention to the service industry and the interaction between innovation and health management.

Dr Guedes received her PhD and an MSc in Technical Change and Industrial Strategy from the University of Manchester, England.   She also received a BSc and a MSc from ESALQ, University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil. Prior to moving to England, Dr. Guedes was the manager of external projects at the Bio-Rio Science Park, interacting between diverse clients in industry, university and government funding agencies. She also worked at Technological Research Institute (IPT/SP). Dr Guedes has published numerous articles, including a recent article about medical tourism in Brazil. She speaks fluent Portugese and English and convesant in French and Spanish.
